Unit and Contract Testing
Documentation status: guide — see Maturity and evidence.
Testing logiCells applications should distinguish application logic from Runtime/binding contracts.
Test layers
- Model tests — constraints, rules, actions and workflows.
- Application tests — service and view behavior around the model.
- Binding contract tests — published types, signatures, arrays, callbacks, nullability, ownership and errors.
- Local/RPC parity tests — verify equivalent public semantics where both transports are supported.
- Deployment smoke tests — runtime compatibility, configuration and external dependencies.
Avoid tests that depend on private implementation class names. Prefer public generated APIs, manifests and declared capabilities.
