Publishing a Web application
Documentation status: reference — see Maturity and evidence.
A logiCells Web application is a projection of the model through published capabilities and view metadata. The browser and front-end framework are rendering targets, not the source of business meaning.
Recommended chain
concepts / relations / rules
-> published actions and collections
-> service boundary
-> view metadata / UXfc intentions
-> Web renderer
-> browser application
Responsibilities
- Model: concepts, relations, rules, states, actions, and processes.
- Publication: selection of capabilities that are made accessible.
- Service boundary: transport, authentication, authorization, errors, and versioning.
- View: context, projected data, and interaction intentions.
- Web renderer: concrete components, browser routing, accessibility, responsive design, and client lifecycle.
Design rule
The front end may optimize user experience, but a rule that determines business validity must not exist only in the browser.
The same model should be able to feed several Web projections without duplicating business knowledge.
Services and views
A Web view may consume published actions or collections. Publishing an action remains a capability contract independent of the Web component that invokes it.
For service contracts, see Services when that page is present in the deployed tree.
