Roles and role paths

A role names the place a participant occupies in a concept or relation. A rolePath projects information from that conceptual structure.

Rules

• use stable business role names;
• preserve the case and full path expected by the model;
• do not confuse rolePath with a database column name;
• verify the model path before troubleshooting persistence.

Role paths keep technical projections connected to the meaning carried by the conceptual model.
