Polyadic Map Projection
Documentation status: reference — see Maturity and evidence.
A polyadic map is a practical projection of a polyadic relation when an application needs indexed or key/value-oriented access. It does not replace the conceptual relation that carries meaning.
Principle
polyadic relation
-> selected roles as key
-> selected roles/values as projection
-> lookup-oriented view
The key should be built from stable, documented roles. If the projection is materialized, its refresh and invalidation policy must be explicit.
Identity
Relation identity and participant identities remain conceptual. An index key is not automatically a business identity.
Usage
Use the projection to accelerate lookup or provide a processing-oriented view. For business logic and reasoning, keep the original roles and relation as the reference.
