Application configuration
Documentation status: guide — see Maturity and evidence.
Application configuration answers one operational question: which runtime, packages, graphs, databases, services, resources, and presentation contexts are assembled to make the conceptual application executable?
Keep assembly concerns outside the business model. A model declares business meaning; the application configuration selects the runtime resources used to execute it.
Typical responsibilities
application
identity and language
package activation
graph resources
database aliases
binary/runtime packages
declarative model packages
services
files and resources
local or remote runtime resources
A useful project keeps a memory configuration for first-run validation and a persistent configuration for production-like execution. Environment-specific paths, credentials, ports, and service activation belong to configuration, not reusable model metadata.
See Package and model loading and Environment configuration.
